The Art of Life - A conversation about art, intuition, business, fatherhood, AI, Everest, and following your bliss.

A few weeks ago, Charles Cormier reached out to invite me onto his Founder Wisdom Podcast. I told him I wasn’t sure I was the right person for it.

I don’t really think of myself as a founder, at least not in the way the word tends to be used today. I’ve always approached business as an artist first. Entrepreneurship has mostly been a way of building the structures necessary to make the things I wanted to make.

We decided to have the conversation anyway. It wandered through Moment Factory, NOMAD, intuition, money, music, AI, Everest, fatherhood and what it means to follow your bliss. Somewhere along the way, it became less a conversation about business than about how all these seemingly different parts of a life might belong to the same thing.

I’m turning 50 soon, and one thing I found myself saying toward the end of our conversation surprised me: “I feel that finally I’m beginning my life.”

I thought that was a pretty great place to leave it. Love & Bliss,

.j.
