As the full Harvest Moon rises over Montreal, ANTENNAE gathers once again at NOMAD.

The Harvest Moon is different from most of the names we give the full moons. It is not tied to a particular month, but to the autumn equinox. It is the full moon that falls closest to that moment when day and night stand briefly in balance before the nights begin to grow longer. And it has another remarkable quality...

Around the autumn equinox, the angle of the Moon’s orbit means that for several evenings, the Moon rises with unusually little delay from one night to the next. For generations, that early evening moonlight extended the day for those gathering the harvest.

The Harvest Moon gave us a little more light before the darkness. There is something deeply ANTENNAE in that.

For three years we have gathered under these moons without knowing what each gathering would bring. Music has appeared and disappeared. People have entered the field. Relationships have formed. Shadows have crossed the screen. Hundreds of hours of sound have passed through the room, never to be played exactly the same way again.

Perhaps a harvest is not only what we grow.
Perhaps it is what we finally recognize has been growing all along.

The Harvest Moon ANTENNAE is an invitation to gather what has emerged.
To listen to what remains. To bring everything we have learned into the room, and then let it go.

A night of music, movement, and movie magic.
A ritual of light and sound.
No setlist. No script. Only NOW.

Through hundreds of hours of improvisation, we have come to understand that what flows through ANTENNAE is Fourth World music: music beyond geography, beyond culture, beyond era, beyond ownership. Neither ancient nor modern, yet somehow both. It is not composed as much as received. The room becomes the instrument. We become the channel.

The Harvest Moon reminds us that there is a time for growing, and there is a time for gathering.

A moment to look at what has appeared.
To recognize what the field has given us.
To carry something forward.
And to leave the rest behind.

As summer gives way to autumn and the balance tips toward longer nights, we gather beneath the Moon that once extended the light.
And we listen for what is ready to be harvested.

ANTENNAE is a living, unfolding work — a live film composed in real time. Often described as a creative playground, slow disco, or immersive art experience, it blurs the boundary between observer and participant, inviting you to step inside, become part of the film, and make the moment your own.

Led by creator Jason Rodi, ANTENNAE is an ensemble of musicians improvising what we have come to understand as Fourth World music — a form of spiritual music that exists beyond genre, culture, or era. Rooted in intuition, presence, and collective listening, the music does not seek expression so much as transmission. We are not its authors, but its conduits.

The accompanying video installation evokes Plato’s allegory of the cave, surrounding the audience in light, shadow, and music — a kind of movie magic meant to remind us that perception shapes reality.
