NEXT ANTENNAE : Sunday February 1st 9pm
Snow Moon ANTENNAE
at NOMAD | 129 Van Horne, Montreal

As the full Snow Moon rises over winter’s quiet expanse, ANTENNAE gathers once more at NOMAD, marking two full years of lunar transmissions.
For two years, we have met in this ethereal space of love and bliss, returning again and again to the same simple act: to listen, to play, to move, to reflect. What began as an intuition, a curiosity, a single full-moon experiment, has revealed itself as a living cycle, one that continues to turn, deepen, and renew itself with each return.
When we began these lunar rituals, we could not have imagined what we were stepping into. We thought perhaps it would be a series, a season, maybe a year. Instead, it became a practice. A rhythm. A way of being together. Each full moon, musicians, dancers, and participants gather not to perform, but to transmit. There is no audience. There is no script. There is only the room, the breath, the shadows, and the signal passing between us.
Over time, through hundreds of hours of improvisation, something revealed itself: we are not chasing style, genre, or spectacle. We are making Fourth World music.
Fourth World music is music beyond geography and beyond time. It does not belong to a culture, a tradition, or an individual. It is neither ancient nor modern, yet somehow both. It emerges from listening rather than intention, from presence rather than authorship. In Fourth World music, the ego softens, the room becomes the instrument, and the music arrives through us rather than from us.
The Snow Moon carries the energy of accumulation and continuity. Snow does not announce itself; it gathers. It blankets. It reshapes the landscape quietly, patiently, until everything looks new again. This moon reminds us that what endures is built slowly, through repetition, care, and return.
This Snow Moon ANTENNAE is both a celebration and a renewal.
A recognition of how far we’ve come, and a commitment to keep going.

ANTENNAE invites you to enter the movie of life.
Here, you are the audience and the performer, the dreamer and the dream, antenna and signal.
ANTENNAE is a living, unfolding work — a live film composed in real time. Often described as a creative playground, slow disco, or immersive art experience, it blurs the boundary between observer and participant, inviting you to step inside the act of creation itself.
Led by creator Jason Rodi, ANTENNAE is an ensemble of musicians improvising what we have come to understand as Fourth World music — a form of spiritual music that exists beyond genre, culture, or era. Rooted in intuition, presence, and collective listening, the music does not seek expression so much as transmission. We are not its authors, but its conduits.
The accompanying video installation evokes Plato’s allegory of the cave, surrounding the audience in shadow, silhouette, and signal — a reminder that perception itself is part of the performance, and that
WE ARE ALL ANTENNAE.
ANTENNAE unfolds with each full moon at NOMADlife.tv 129 Van Horne.

ANTENNAE: A Living Narrative
ANTENNAE is not just an event; it's a living narrative, a canvas for the creation of our own mythologies in the ever-unfolding present. Each event is recorded and filmed for posterity, and available for streaming on all NOMADlife.tv apps (ROKU, FireTV, AndroidTV, AppleTV, iOS, Android, and YouTube).
Fourth World Music : A Transcendent Experience
The ANTENNAE ensemble is an open, evolving collective of musicians led by Jason Rodi. Its instrumentation is fluid and expansive - piano, organ, cello, electric, acoustic, and bass guitars, harmonica, voice, congas, steel tongue and electronic drums, flutes, saxophones, and more - shifting with each gathering according to intuition rather than arrangement.
Each week, we record hours of original music, never repeating ourselves, allowing sound to arise in the moment. These recordings feed the atmospheric films of NOMADslow.tv, where image and music exist in a shared state of becoming.
The music of ANTENNAE belongs to what we call Fourth World music - a spiritual form beyond genre, geography, or tradition. It draws from neo-psychedelia, cinematic ambience, ritual rhythm, and deep listening, yet resists definition. The ensemble does not perform the music; it receives it. We do not claim authorship. We act as antennas - listening, attuned, and open - allowing the signal to pass through us as it will.
The Installation: A Ballet of Shadows and Light
ANTENNAE stages Plato's allegory of the cave through an installation involving a back projection screen and a large mirror, immersing you in a mesmerizing dance of shadows and light. Participants become integral to this dance, casting their silhouettes against images of antennas shot all over the world by Rodi, a poetic expression of the message WE ARE ALL, and a celebration of the interconnection of all things.

The films below, created at ANTENNAE events, are echoes of the eternal NOW.
The music was recorded live and silhouettes filmed in real time at NOMADlife.tv.
